Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

Catholic Daily Reflection respects your privacy. This policy explains the information this website currently collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you. It is an operational description of the site, not legal advice.

Information you provide

When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your first name. We also record which form or prayer series you requested so we can deliver the right emails and downloads. A series signup, including the St. Louis IX Novena, also subscribes you to future Catholic Daily Reflection emails as disclosed beside the form. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option.

Attribution and technical information

A signup may include campaign information from the page address, such as UTM parameters and a Meta click ID (fbclid). These details help us understand which outreach led to a signup. We and our hosting providers may also process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as request time, browser or device details, and IP-derived information.

Analytics and advertising measurement

Optional tools remain off until you make a privacy choice. If you allow analytics, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights help us understand aggregate site usage and performance. If you allow advertising measurement, the Meta Pixel can record page visits and successful signup events so we can measure our advertising. We do not intentionally send prayer text, form-field contents, or your email address to the Meta Pixel.

The site honors a browser Global Privacy Control signal by keeping advertising measurement off. You can review or change your selections at any time with the Privacy choices link in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate this site and deliver what you request:

  • Kit stores subscriber information and delivers email sequences and newsletters.
  • Vercel hosts the website and, with consent, provides analytics and performance measurement.
  • Meta provides advertising measurement when you consent to it.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.

How information is used

We use information to:

  • deliver requested PDFs, novenas, reflections, and other emails;
  • operate, protect, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
  • understand campaign performance and prevent abuse; and
  • comply with applicable obligations and enforce our rights.

We do not sell your name or email address.

Retention and your choices

Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed and as reasonably needed for operations, security, recordkeeping, and applicable obligations. You can unsubscribe through any email. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete information associated with your email address. Some records may be retained when required for security, suppression of future messages, or legal compliance.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the site or its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to nick@catholicdailyreflection.com.
